Niya Angelova was the salutatorian of Beech High School’s graduating class of 2023, and she is now a dedicated freshman at the University of Tennessee who exemplifies a profound commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. With a passion for political science and a minor in business, she is driven to make a positive impact locally and globally. She has continued this passion for leadership into her first semester of college and serves as first year leadership council representative within the University of Tennessee’s Student Government Association and an honors student peer mentor. Additionally, she is a part of the Chancellor's honors college, a member of the Alpha Delta Chapter of Sigma Kappa, and an undergraduate student representative for the UTK academic committee. In addition to her leadership, she was also a semifinalist for the McClung speech contest and a participant in the Eureca Research Conference. Niya's dedication extends beyond the classroom, as she has been involved in impactful work experiences and volunteer engagements. Through internships at Baker Donelson Law Firm and positions at Walgreens and Firehouse Subs, she has honed her professional skills while contributing positively to her workplace environments. Passionate about community service, Niya has spearheaded initiatives to combat tobacco and nicotine use among her peers, successfully advocating for policy changes and organizing awareness campaigns. Her volunteer efforts extend to coaching youth runners, and working with the Alzheimer's association. Beyond her local community, Niya has been selected as one of thirteen women by the University of Tennessee's Panhellenic Council to represent Sigma Kappa and participate in the Circle of Sisterhood trek in Senegal, West Africa. UTK’s panhellenic community raised funds to build a school through the circle of sisterhood in an underrepresented village that does not currently have access to education, and she is part of the team to celebrate the groundbreaking of the school. This initiative underscores her commitment to female empowerment and education on a global scale. Following her undergraduate journey, she hopes to attend law school to someday become an immigration lawyer.

Emma Baker is currently the Chapter President of the Eta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at Austin Peay State University. She is currently a Nursing Student and plans on graduating in May of 2025. She has been a member of her sorority since I came to Austin Peay in 2021. Since joining ADPi, Emma has learned valuable skills that she cannot wait to take on in her future career. 

Abbie is from Hendersonville, TN and is currently attending Vanderbilt University. She is a junior majoring in Neuroscience with Minors in Biology and Chemistry. Post grad, she plans to pursue a PhD in Pharmacology. Currently, she is serving as the Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for Vanderbilt Panhellenic Executive Council. She has also served as Vice President of Event Management and Director of Music Education for the Zeta Rho chapter of Alpha Delta Pi. She also participates in her campus community as a student orientation leader, member of Vanderbilt Student Volunteers for Science, and the Neuroscience Majors Club. For the last 2 years, she has been working in VUMC as an undergraduate researcher, investigating how substance use disorders develop in the brain. She has received multiple honors at Vanderbilt, including the Dean's List and entrance into the NIH MARC Scholars program. Abbie is also an active member of the Nashville community, serving as an evening house manager at the Nashville Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Kendra Harris is the Lambda Omicron Chapter President at Cumberland University. AOII has brought her so many opportunities from meeting new sisters to gaining leadership qualities. Greek and panhellenic life as a whole has truly made her grow to be a better individual.

Kendal Kocian is from Nashville, Tennessee and is a current Marketing student of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In her time at UTK, she has made an effort to always be involved in the great opportunities that the campus presents. She has served as the Director of Primary Recruitment for her Sorority, Delta Gamma, a Director of two years for the UTK Musical Theatre Revue, and is the current Social Media Manager of the Veterans Success Center at UTK. Along with her campus involvement, she also continues to get involved in the academic opportunities on campus. This past semester, Kendal is one of 12 hand-selected students chosen for the first of its kind Marketing Residency through the Haslam College of Business. Through this cohort, the students learn topics in class and then apply these concepts at a marketing agency in Knoxville called Boldsquare. Kendal is grateful to receive this scholarship and will use it to continue her on campus efforts.

Maya McMillen is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she is pursuing her undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a minor in Political Science. Maya is from Brentwood, Tennessee, where she previously attended Christ Presbyterian Academy. She has immersed herself in her community in Knoxville in many ways, including her membership in Phi Mu. Through Phi Mu she served her community well, specifically the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, which is Phi Mu Kappa’s specific philanthropy. Outside of Phi Mu, she has previously served on the Student Government as well as the Psi Society, and is now active in the pre-law fraternity, Kappa Alpha Pi, and the honors society Order of Omega. Maya is also very involved in her church, Sevier Heights, where she volunteers every Sunday. Maya has ambitious plans to go to an accredited law school and pursue a career in the field of corporate law.

Kennedy Miller is from Smyrna, Tennessee. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville majoring in Supply Chain Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Zeta Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha where she is in several committees and is the ritual chair assistant. In her free time Kennedy enjoys being with friends and family and getting to experience new things. With this, she enjoys getting out of my comfort zone and meeting new people as she is a very outgoing person that loves helping others. Throughout her time in Zeta, she has earned over 30 service hours helping at the KARM Store, Holston Health Rehab Center, and the Wesley House.
